Just weeks after its official launch, the new XMS technology has been chosen by Luxembourg's leading retailer. A customized, fully cashless system managing over 4,000 daily transactions.
There could be no better baptism for FeniX, the new XMS technology line officially launched last November. In record time, our flagship solution has crossed national borders to land in Luxembourg, signing a prestigious partnership with the Cactus Group.
Founded in 1900, Cactus is not just a supermarket chain but a true economic institution in Luxembourg. With 71 stores and 4,500 employees, it represents the pinnacle of large-scale retail in the country. To manage the critical traffic flows of its parking facilities, Cactus sought a technology that combined industrial reliability with a superior user experience. The answer was FeniX.
The installation, operating at one of the group's main centers, is designed to withstand intense rhythms. The system must manage over 4,000 daily entries, ensuring zero queues and maximum speed.
To win this challenge, we implemented an infrastructure consisting of:
The massive adoption of E-PAY stations and advanced license plate recognition systems—which represent the true beating heart of the system—confirms the innovative vision of the project. It is a dematerialized ecosystem that bets everything on the speed of cashless payments, eliminating cash handling, reducing operational costs, and radically transforming the parking experience: the system recognizes the vehicle that has paid and raises the barrier automatically, without needing to insert a ticket.
It is a choice that looks to the future and sustainability: speeding up outflow reduces emissions from idling cars and, by enabling Ticketless logic, drastically cuts down on paper and consumables, aligning with the "Green" philosophy of XMS and Cactus.
XMS provides not just hardware, but integrated design solutions. For this project, the entire FeniX fleet abandoned standard colors to wear a special Orange livery, manufactured to the client's specific requirements. The result is a modern visual impact that blends perfectly with the Cactus brand identity, demonstrating XMS's production flexibility.
Despite high traffic volumes, the end-user experience remains simple and intuitive. Thanks to 15.6" touch displays and multimedia guidance, Cactus customers are supported at every stage, from entry to payment, redefining the standard of welcome right from the parking lot.
With this installation, XMS proves that FeniX is not just a technological promise, but a solid reality capable of competing immediately in the most demanding international markets.
