A Prestigious Showcase by the Sea

Sanremo, the city of the Festival and international tourism, has a new beating heart for urban mobility. On December 1, 2025, modernization works were officially completed at the Lungomare Italo Calvino car park, a strategic area located just steps from the Casino and the sea, hosting 334 car spaces and tourist bus bays.
The municipal administration needed a decisive intervention for a site marked by technological obsolescence and vandalism, which had long represented a management and political challenge. The answer to this need was XMS.

The Challenge: Full Operability in Tight Timeframes

The true success of this project lies not only in the technology installed but in the execution capability. XMS took charge of the site in late September 2025 and, with an integrated Project Management approach, coordinated civil works, system refurbishment, and technological installation, completing the work in just two months.
Where the past had left uncertainty, XMS brought reliability and concreteness, delivering a "turnkey" system perfectly functioning, tested by our technical staff, and ready to welcome holiday tourist flows.

ESPAS 30 Ultra Technology: Security and Flow

The implemented solution is based on the ESPAS 30 Ultra line, synonymous with robustness and innovation. The installation includes:

• 2 Entry and 2 Exit Stations redesigned to ensure maximum resistance to marine agents and tampering attempts.
• Contactless Payment at the Gate: To smooth traffic flow, users can now pay by credit card directly at the exit column, eliminating queues at pay stations.
• License Plate Recognition (LPR) and Ticketless: The advanced camera system reads the plate at the entry and recognizes payment at the exit, automatically raising the barrier without needing to insert the ticket. Furthermore, in case of a lost ticket, the user can retrieve it by typing their license plate on the automatic pay station.
• 2 Advanced Automatic Pay Stations: Digital, multilingual, and protected by new shelters with easy access for the disabled, the stations manage cash and electronic payments with maximum security.
